About Yolanda Verwey

I joined JTC in 2022 and have over 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry.Within my role as Senior Manager, I am responsible for one of the fund accounting teams dealing with Guernsey Domiciled funds. Having worked on a listed fund specializing in music royalties, I have gained end-to-end experience managing the day-to-day operational deliverables, such as striking the NAV (Net Asset Value), ensuring timely payments; to getting the fund’s annual financial reports signed-off. My role as Senior Manager also involves engagement with various stakeholders, such as Investment Managers, Brokers, Auditors and Boards. Prior to joining JTC, I worked for a well-respected asset management firm, where I successfully gained end-to-end fund administration experience as an Investment Administration Manager. My duties included review of segregated portfolios, trade administration, review of complex corporate action events, review of performance calculations and presentation of management reports. I have also participated in various projects, such as system upgrades and the launch of new products.I have completed my articles at one of the ‘Big Four’ in Stellenbosch and is a qualified chartered accountant. During my articles I have worked on audits of listed multinational companies.I am also a member of the Toastmasters Club which is a non-profit organisation designed to help individuals become better communicators through leadership, training and public speaking practice.
