About Yolandi Harmse

Hi, I’m Yolandi, a digital designer specialising in user experience and product design. I help software project teams move faster and build smarter through research-driven UX and an AI-first approach. Originally from South Africa, I grew up surrounded by art and textiles, where design first became my language. What began with shape and colour has grown into a practice focused on design systems, user flows, and the balance between aesthetics and function. Now based in the Netherlands, I work at the intersection of creativity, technology, and people. With a background in graphic design and a strong focus on digital products, I translate stories into systems and strategy into visuals. I enjoy bridging worlds. connecting marketing with UX, aligning user needs with brand voice, and turning business goals into human-centred design. I’m currently expanding my focus into how AI can support creative work and accelerate design processes. I’m also drawn to project management and art direction, where I can shape not just the look of a project but also its structure, pace, and purpose. My design philosophy is simple: clarity, experience, and impact. And always, always leaving space for a little fun.
