About Yosef Cohen

I am a web developer with a BA in psychology. I was drawn to psychology because I love knowing how things work, people included. By the time I finished my BA, though, I didn’t love psychology enough to pursue it further. Shortly after college, I got married and had to choose work over furthering my education, but I always knew that I needed more if I was going to find a passion. Over the years I have managed group homes for individuals with special needs, worked for a booming construction SaaS company on the data-gathering side and in the financial department of a long-term healthcare provider. No matter the job, I’m all about learning and delving into the industry, learning the ins and outs and all the processes involved.A couple years ago, I decided to start looking into coding. I figured I love technology, I love knowing and figuring out how things work, why not choose a career that combines the two? I spent over a year with a friend of mine, a SQL ninja, studying the principles and practices of SQL coding. I enjoyed it immensely and learnt so much from him, but I still needed more. So, I decided to enroll in Actualize. I felt that Actualize would give me the foundations and experience I need to actually go out into the developer world, and it did. Now I’m a full stack developer and a Support Engineer with ActiveCampaign. I’m up for any challenge thrown at me. I’m excited to bring all my past skills and experiences together with my newest learned skills, to bring value to an ever expanding industry. I can’t wait to learn new languages and technologies and keep growing every day.
