About Yoshimi Eder

I am a Senior at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, pursuing a major in Global Marketing and Consumer Insights. I grew up in Okinawa, Japan, and attended public High School there, where I became the first student in history to attend a University in the United States. At Fordham University, I am a Marketing Scholars Candidate and one of the thirty students in a program that provides unique, high-profile opportunities to advance marketing careers through visits to leading advertising agencies and exposure to other industry-leading professionals. Additionally, during my Freshman year, I was a First-Year Diversity Scholar and had the chance to attend presentations and workshops designed to develop networking and interview skills with leading alums and professionals from top finance, marketing, and accounting firms. Outside of those roles, I am a Resident Assistant for the first-year dorms at Fordham and work as an IT specialist for the Gabelli School of Business.I have had the opportunity to have various internships throughout my college career that helped me develop business skills in the real world. At MyFanPark, as a marketing/social media intern, I increased the company's Instagram reach by over 90% within the first three months. As a PR intern at Haymaker Group, I was able to experience everything from briefing documents to client calls. After one year of interning at Milk Makeup as a Global Education Intern, working closely with the Director on expanding product education throughout multiple countries, I was hired back on as a part-time employee for my senior year of college as a Market Trainer for downtown New York City, where I oversee partnerships and communications with the biggest Sephora doors in the country.As a financially independent student, I have worn multiple hats throughout college, sometimes even balancing five jobs with seven classes. These experiences have taught me valuable life lessons that contributed to clarifying my path towards my goals, and I plan to continue pushing the limit and breaking down walls in my career.
