About Youssef Maged

A passionate Mechatronics Engineer specializing in robotics, coding, and innovative design. I currently work as a System Design Engineer at MCV - Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles, where I contribute to the Volvo Bus Project. In this role, I am responsible for designing and developing city and intercity buses for the European market.My role focuses on bus design and development using advanced CAD tools, as well as designing harnesses and the fixation of electrical components, all while ensuring product efficiency, quality, and adherence to cybersecurity standards (R155 & R156). In addition to my role at MCV, I founded Toka Robotics & IoT Solutions, a healthcare robotics startup incubated by EG Bank and Alex Angels. At Toka Robotics, I led the development of hospital cleaning robots, improving hygiene and operational efficiency within healthcare facilities. We were recognized as one of the top 3 startups in the incubation program and secured early-stage funding. My journey also includes experience as a content creator and software engineer. At Besomi Electronics Group, I produced digital content, researched trending technologies, and developed educational materials. As a remote software engineer at CAXI Technology Cyprus, I built firmware, maintained servers, and designed user interfaces for prototype devices. My professional journey also includes valuable experience from internships and leadership programs. I was selected from applicants to participate in the YLF leadership program, where I enhanced my soft skills through training with organizations like Dale Carnegie. Additionally, I completed internships at BAVARIA Egypt S.A.E. and PETROBEL, where I gained practical insights into production engineering, occupational safety, and industrial processes. Outside of my work, I am actively involved in volunteering and mentorship. I have taught Arduino and programming with ASME HTI branch, led teams in the Sailfish ROV competition, and contributed to aerodynamics design for the Apex Racing team. My technical expertise includes CAD modeling, PCB design, embedded systems, Python programming, and robotics development. I also focus on developing soft skills such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving. I continuously work to expand my knowledge through certifications to stay ahead of industry trends. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, I am passionate about collaborating on cutting-edge technologies and contributing to innovative solutions in engineering, robotics, and IoT.
