About Yoyoe Amicus

Yoyoe is an art therapist, hatha yoga teacher, spoken word and performance artist, illustrator, body painter and visual artist. She delivers workshops and programs to teenagers and adults and specialises in processes to navigate anxiety, depression and body image concerns. She has exhibited and delivered both Art and Art therapy in Australia and in the USA and is passionate about the healthy expression of the human experience through art and the body. Yoyoe is one of the founding members of the art collective Awkward/Amazing known for Portable Dance Portal's and Wearable Art Parties. She provides Roving Performance and Performance Art for festivals and special events and is also available for Spoken Word. Yoyoe combines art therapy, mindfulness, yoga and spoken word to engage with participants and encourage a safe space to explore, release, navigate difficult emotions and discover inner resources. A body image activist and avid public speaker with a great respect for the teenage rite of passage, Yoyoe is available for well-being focused school presentations and programs.
