About Yu-Ping Lin

I am a theoretical physicist pursuing real-world quantum science applications, particularly the quantum computing applications in quantum chemistry. Before joining the quantum computing industry, I achieved pioneering academic research in the forefront of quantum condensed matter and materials physics. My expertise spans advanced mathematical modeling, scientific computing, 2D and 3D visualization, machine learning, and data analysis. My research has led to 22 scientific publications with 800+ citations, 28 research talks, and 1 fellowship award. Proficient in Python, I have hands-on experience using a wide range of scientific libraries. These include fundamental computations (NumPy, SciPy, sparse), data science and machine learning (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch), 2D and 3D plotting (Matplotlib, seaborn, Mayavi), quantum computing (Qiskit), tensor network (TeNPy, Block2), quantum Monte Carlo (ipie), and quantum chemistry (PySCF, ipie, Block2). I have also developed a scientific Python library, CMTKit, for the computation and visualization of quantum many-body lattice models, enabling automated modeling, variational optimization, time-series analysis, and 3D visualization of complex quantum physical systems.
