Background

About Yuko Mishio

I was raised in Japan, where I was surrounded by artists and entrepreneurs. Having this background, I always thought that these creative change-makers were the key to our society, but they usually lacked resources. I am on my entrepreneurial journey, finding connections between art, entrepreneurship, human rights, and sustainability. It is my goal to create businesses and communities around the world that involve these topics in a safe yet inspiring space with people who already are or are willing to be creative change-makers. I explored my vision by stepping out of my home country to be involved in various activities along the way with my studies. My strength in having international OS in my brain comes from these experiences. My journey was accelerated by joining Hub Tokyo, going through so many projects around community building and social entrepreneurship as someone who can act quickly based on hypothesis. When we went through hard times with the pandemic, I was one of the key members of keeping the business afloat during it, and I contributed to reactivating the community. Now that I’ve been appointed as the new CEO, I’m excited to take on new challenges and fields to explore. I look forward to connecting with fellow leaders and change-makers in this new chapter of my adventure!
