Experienced Staff Software Engineer/Tech Lead with a demonstrated history of working in the ecommerce, fintech (infra), education industry. Skilled in Golang, Ruby, Scala and adequate in Rust. Mostly able to help on challenging difficult engineering problems or dealing with standard/core library shared across team. Able to mentors several engineers regarding their engineering skills development. I enjoy mapping real-world domain problems into clean, maintainable technical solutions. I like to go deep understanding the "why" before jumping into the "how" and have designed end to end architectures from high level service layouts to low level implementation quirks. I’m also a big believer in collaborative design and creating space for engineers to contribute their ideas. Over the years, I’ve naturally stepped into roles that bridge tech and product. I often challenge product MVPs or KPI goals to make sure we’re solving the right problems, and I advocate for balancing delivery with tech health by including space for solving tech debt. I work across teams to push for better architectures, more stable systems, and scalable infra—and I’m frequently involved in leadership discussions around tech stack migrations or system design choices that affect multiple teams. These conversations go beyond backend, they include frontend, infra, and even people/resource planning. I care a lot about the people side of engineering too. Whether assigning tasks based on team strengths or doing informal coffee meets, I try to keep team dynamics and individual goals aligned. I also bring product sense into technical discussions and help shift priorities when needed to focus on what moves the needle for the company. I think a lot about cost, maintainability, and team capacity when designing solutions. Outside of day to day work, I’m deeply curious about system internals, programming languages, OS design, and how we can make engineers more productive.
