Yuri Zaitsev can be found out in the wild, conducting ethnographic field work and designing human-centered studies for big corporations, non profits, and local governments. He attempts to push the creative limits of what human-centered design can do to make society a better place, and we will see if it works. Yuri has a mild obsession with rigor in the nature of qualitative work and design and will speak at length about ontology, biases, differences between designing for individuals vs. communities…if you want to talk shop, you have been warned. Yuri went from engineering world class medical devices, to learning design from David Kelley at Stanford’s d.School, to then teaching at said d.School, to now applying himself back in the real world.
