About Yusuke Hashimoto
I am a Specially Appointed Associate Professor at Tohoku University, leading research at the intersection of spintronics, materials informatics, and Research DX. Over the past two decades I have built custom ultrafast magneto-optical imaging systems and invented Spin-Wave Tomography (SWaT), achieving the first 3-D reconstruction of spin-wave dispersion (Nature Communications 2017). My track record includes 29 peer-reviewed publications,>560 citations, and an h-index of 11, as well as multiple international patents on magneto-optical measurement and spin-wave devices. I have coordinated multi-country collaborations across Europe, Asia, and the U.S, and co-founded a data-science start-up to translate academic innovation into industry impact. Today my research focus on the integration of AI-driven data analytics, IoT lab automation, and high-throughput experiments to accelerate materials discovery. I am actively seeking industrial partners, venture collaborators, and motivated students who share the vision of revolutionising materials research through data and DX.
