About Yuta Ooka

I’m an iOS Engineer with 3+ years of experience developing applications used by around 100 million people in Japan. I’m passionate about building high-quality, scalable software and continuously improving the user experience through thoughtful design and architecture. Currently, I work at LINE Yahoo as a Software Engineer on the mobile messenger app. I’ve led and contributed to several major projects, including the release of the new Chat List design, LYP Premium Backup, and ongoing development of the Calendar feature. Recently, I modernized LINE’s theming system by adding SwiftUI support to the app’s “Themes” feature and introduced a reusable theming layer for SwiftUI components. I’ve applied this foundation to parts of the Calendar project and published the framework internally, enabling other developers to adopt the same approach and improving UI consistency and development efficiency across teams. In addition to feature development, I focus on improving code quality and long-term maintainability, such as increasing test coverage within the ChatTab module from 9% to 54%. I’m always open to connecting with other engineers and exchanging ideas about Swift development, software design, and large-scale mobile systems. Specialties: Swift, Objective-C
