About Yvan Denis
Since 2019, I have been working as a Research and Development Engineer, primarily focusing on the modeling of composite materials manufacturing processes. My work mainly involves thermoplastic composites, with some additional exploration of thermoset systems on a smaller scale. The overarching goal is to contribute to the development of next-generation simulation tools capable of integrating multiple scales of analysis, as well as the various physical phenomena involved in the manufacturing stages. This also includes the design of forming tools and their topological optimization, with the aim of minimizing manufacturing-induced distortions. The objective is therefore to digitally design compensated tooling in order to reduce both the development time and the associated costs, while simultaneously improving the environmental impact of composite part manufacturing.
