I work as an AI engineer. But I don’t have a degree in IT. Instead, I studied Pharmaceutical Sciences. Going into Pharma would have been a safe route with lots of opportunity to grow and earn. But I knew that this wouldn’t make me happy in the long term - because I realized that programming was my passion. So I jumped. I gave myself 6 months to learn just enough about programming to land my first job. If not, I would go into the Pharma Industry. I studied 16 hours a day - reading books, creating applications, watching tutorials, … 5 months later, I landed my first job as a software developer. This was in 2017. But I haven’t stopped learning since then. 4 years ago I noticed the opportunity of AI and how it will shape our future. I decided to focus on AI since then. I found that the best way is to become AI-first. And I don’t mean using various AI tools for internet searches, summaries, and simple tasks that would take maybe 10 more seconds to do without AI. I mean use it in every way you can and with the right approach. On the road to AI mastery, I share my learnings and tips, as I hope this will help you, too.
