About Yvette Gavalovic

With over ten years of experience as a Teaching and Learning Leader in curriculum design and pedagogy, I am a passionate, motivated, and forward-thinking educational professional. Having worked in all Independent, Private and Government sectors P-12, currently working as a leading teacher at the Department of Education & Training, Victoria, I focus on student engagement, wellbeing, and management across the Junior College. I have a MicroMasters in Education from three prestigious universities, specializing in deep learning, educational leadership, and intercultural competency. I value utilizing best practices and innovative pedagogy to engage young learners to have wonder and the desire to actively explore their world. I enthusiastically support teachers across all school contexts to develop their professional capacity, including the integration of digital technology, social justice, sustainability, and global initiatives. I regularly use evidence-based research to coach teachers towards individual goals and model best practice. My mission is to inspire and nurture our students to think deeply by giving them the toolkit to thrive and take action in a future full of optimism, resilience, innovation, and grit.
