With over seven years of experience as an Independent Educational Consultant and over 14 years of experience in the workforce development field, I help students and professionals achieve their education and career goals. I have a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management from Grand Canyon University, a Specialized Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego Extended Studies, and multiple certifications from the International Association of Workforce Professionals. As a Regional Advisor/Grant Manager at the Employment Development Department, I am the primary point of contact for state and local agencies in the America’s Job Center of California network. I advise, support, and facilitate the effective administration, coordination, and implementation of local and regional workforce programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and requirements. I also work with Local Workforce Development Boards to address special funding needs and deliver customized services and solutions. As an Executive Office Manager at the California Workforce Connection, I manage the executive office and the organization’s newsletter, participate in conference planning, provide technical support, oversee accounts receivable and grant funds, and maintain partnerships with several state government agencies. I use and enhance my skills in non-profit management, grant management, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and customer service in both roles.
