About Yvette Roos

Hi I'm a senior at Tufts University in the school of engineering pursing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science student and a minor in Mathematics. I have a passion for web programming and game design as they combine the creative and technical aspects of past interests. Recently I've been interested in Machine Learning and AI. In Spring 2025, I studied abroad in Germany, where I strengthened my German language skills, developed greater independence, and conducted research on global disaster risks, which led to a published blog post. Over the 24-25 school year I completed a year-long mentorship journey in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence through MIT's prestigious Break Through Tech AI program. I'm committed to staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and driving positive change in the tech industry. Outside of my studies I demonstrated skills in effective communication, collaboration, and leadership through roles as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor, as well as contributing to the Women in Tech Conference at Tufts University as a Committee Board member in the finance department, working towards creating an inclusive and empowering environment for underrepresented individuals in tech.
