About Yvonne Daski

Though I work in retail, as a Barnes & Noble Manager, I was trained and I am experienced in Office Management and skilled on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Mircosoft Publisher. I have created a weekly schedule of 30 + staff members. I had to make sure I was within our payroll budget, sales budget, and workload planning hours. While working on the schedules, I got very detail oriented in figuring out where I can cut hours and where I can add those hours to create better customer service, and add more efficient workload planning. My hard work paid off and is still in practice today. I have written and delivered performance reviews for staff members and I have coached and trained other managers on best practices. Also, I hired a great team of staff members during my time there. Two staff members were promoted to Managers. One is a manager in training, and 4 booksellers were promoted to Lead Positions. I have a great eye when it comes to hiring, and I know what to look for. I am proud of those staff members, and I encourage everyone I hire to apply themselves and to work towards goals. I want to wrap up by saying that I have been with Barnes & Noble for 10 years. I am familiar with sales, sales trends, and coaching/training others on knowing what to look for. I also am very familiar with budgets, and sales goals. I am skilled at ensuring the entire staff is on board with beating goals and I loved getting everyone revved up!
