About Zac Troughton

Growing up in a small rural town, I grew up loving everything about the outdoors. I became intrigued with biology and how the natural systems worked together. I worked seasonally for three years for the Department of Fish and Game as a fisheries technician. I then transferred from the University of Montana to Lewis-Clark State College, where I worked full-time at a local lumber mill while maintaining my 3.8 gpa status as a biology student. Once I took a GIS class I quickly realized how this would be applicable to fisheries and wildlife biology. I took a GIS internship, with Antero Resources, to broaden my knowledge and see how it can be implemented in different fields. After graduating college, I got a job as a GIS Analyst in Boise, ID. I received a call from Antero, offering me a job as a GIS analyst, I happily accepted. My career goal is to combine my passion for biology with GIS.
