About Zacari Zagal

Out of highschool I went into the United States Army. After an Honorable Discharge, I began my career in the restaurant industry beginning at Rainforest Cafe in Disney Springs as a busser. Within my first two months there I became a trainer for the team. Later on, I transferred to a sister property called T-Rex Cafe where I was promoted to a food runner. Wanting to advance my career I left and did my first restaurant opening for Rock & Brews in Margaritaville Kissimmee again being promoted to a server. After not being satisfied with the inability to be developed and grow I decided to pursue another opportunity to be part of the FOH opening team for Bar Louie Winter Park where I again was a server and quickly became a trainer for the FOH team. With my ambition to continue in guest service and the need/want to grow into bigger roles I decided to leave the industry and join the Walt Disney World Company as a housekeeper for resorts. Within a few short months my leadership and training skills allowed me to be one of the first cross trained housekeepers at my resort and the first trainer that could teach both positions. At the same time I pursued voluntary leadership as a shop steward for one of the Unions that represent the employees at Walt Disney World. In a couple months I was promoted to a Union Representative working directly for the Unite Here Local 737 Union where I was specifically in charge of tipped and nontipped FOH staff at specific parks and resorts. From that point I was granted yet another opportunity for growth outside of the Company as a Restaurant Manager at The Whole Enchilada, where I currently work.
