About Zach Deacon

Currently, I am a full-time Beer and Wine Clerk at The Kroger Company specializing in preserving quality interpersonal relationships between Kroger and our patrons. Before this, I was a full-time acquisitions specialist at Barrel, LLC responsible for researching, chasing, and closing distressed real estate investment opportunities for long-term and short-term growth potential. I stayed there for over a year and learned a great deal about real estate deal structure, real estate law, and client relationships. Following my tenure here, I left to focus on the world of securities and finish my college degree without the burden of a high-performance oriented acquisitions role. Prior to Barrel, I worked with Ed Innovations Partners, LLC to seek out opportunities for charter school development in areas that are educationally under-served. This laid the foundation for my knowledge in site selection and deal structure, and it helped me gain a simple understanding of finance in the field of education. I also gained valuable experience with all aspects of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Upon graduation, I plan to use my finance degree to gain further experience in stock, real estate, bond, and other investment types to become an accomplished investor and achieve financial freedom. When not working or studying, I love making music on several instruments, exploring new places, and hanging out with my friends.
