About Zach Hall

I wish to improve the community through volunteerism, event planning, and mentoring youth. I work at Teachers' Treasures, which actively works to improve the community through sustainability, mentoring, and providing supplies to our community's teachers. Sustainability became a passion of mine during an internship while studying at IUPUI. After working the finish line at the Monumental Marathon I noticed how much plastic went to landfills. The next day I was asking my internship supervisor how we could incorporate sustainability initiatives into future run. This lead to me becoming the supervisor of the current Green Team initiative at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. I am now working to grow sustainability initiatives at my current position within Teachers' Treasures. Mentorship/teaching is also very valuable to me because of its ability to change the future at any given moment. This passion is realized through the positive mentors I've had throughout my life in school, sports, and the military. After a few of training and practice in the military, you can frequently find me volunteering with Special Olympics Indiana, where I try to be that agent of change. At my current position I regularly lead and instruct volunteer groups to make sure supplies are available for the teachers of our Indianapolis community.
