Background

About Zach Oman

I lead enterprise AI architecture strategy at Andrew Morgan Consulting, designing and developing AI systems for federal agencies including the VA, DoD, Coast Guard, and Army. My work centers on multi-agent architectures, RAG systems, and AWS Bedrock integrations — building and benchmarking specialized agent configurations across federal use cases, evaluating RAG pipeline accuracy and vector retrieval performance, and stress-testing orchestration patterns to drive how government organizations process information and automate complex workflows. I focus on transparency and explainability of LLM responses to build user trust and help clients get maximum value from integrated AI solutions. My foundation in data analytics and process engineering gives me a unique lens for AI architecture: I understand not just how to build intelligent systems, but how they integrate into real operational environments to deliver measurable ROI. The progression from designing Power BI dashboards and data strategies for the VA's Office of Patient Advocacy to now architecting the AI systems driving next-generation data intelligence helps inform every solution I design.I hold an MBA with specializations in Big Data Analytics and Strategic Management, and a B.S.E. in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. I'm passionate about the intersection of technical innovation and maximizing impact by building AI systems that are state-of-the-art, compliant, cost-effective, and provide real-world value to clients.
