About Zach Stenzel

At the age of 7, I moved to Belgium as a missionary’s kid. We lived in the northern (Flemish speaking) part of Belgium, but French and German were also requirements from 4th grade through High School. We moved back to the U.S. my senior year and I graduated from the small town of Jay, OK. The Huckleberry capital of the world. I don’t recall ever eating a single huckleberry from Jay, OK though. Post-graduation, I attended Oklahoma State University, but truthfully, lacked motivation, direction, and purpose. The Army gave me all three. I joined the Army Reserves in 2008, deployed to Iraq in 2009, retuned to school in 2010, and graduated in 2012 with an International Business degree. My dream was always to move to New York and work in an office with a view of Lower Manhattan. My wife is a University of Oklahoma grad, so for alma mater-loyalty reasons, neither of us wanted to move to the other’s college town. We ended up 1,276 miles from NYC (if you opt for toll roads). Close enough. We settled on Grove, OK and I’ve been at Ferra Aerospace ever since. Operations Manager is a broad title, so to clarify, I have the privilege of leading the Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory, and Assembly teams. The successes I enjoy are direct results of each of those team members. I love to win; they ensure we all win. My hobbies include woodworking, fantasy football, and family activities. Recently, I became interested in computer programming and enrolled in a Python programming boot camp. In June 2023, I also received my Oklahoma Real Estate license, and began working part-time as a REALTOR.
