About Zachary Dunlap

I was raised in a small town where I was homeschooled for my entire middle and high school years. The curriculum we used didn’t offer any programing courses, but that didn’t stop my curiosity. In middle school I played with free versions of game maker softwares, and by high school I had acquired an internship at IAppTrust. When it came time for college, since some schools question homeschooling’s academic abilities,I took every placement test I could to ensure I would be accepted into RIT. Though I was successful in this endeavor, their private school tuition was higher than I could afford. Because of this, I decided to go to community college where I started in their Computer Science department. After a short time there, I got offered a position as an Associate Developer at Gannett/USA Today, and I put my school on hold. Now, I have started continuing classes in my spare time so as to both finish what I started, and further challenge myself to grow my understanding of advanced software development and its real world applications. Currently, I am looking for an opportunity to build a career in software development starting at an entry level position.
