About Zachary Hoffman

When I was in the fourth grade, my teacher introduced an age old idea to our class. Over the next two weeks, we would hold the first election for our student government. Young as I was, the idea sounded boring. I didn’t run for class president myself. As an extremely busy nine-year-old, I had no interest in such a huge responsibility. My friend Mark, on the other hand, was honored to accept his nomination. In the following two weeks, I surprised myself and took the lead on all of the "campaign" projects that were assigned. I came up with slogans, made posters and wrote speeches to be given in front of the other fourth grade classes. I hated school, but even I had to admit this stuff was pretty fun. It took me a long time to realize that I had a passion for PR and marketing, but it has always been there. That is why I’m writing actual press releases, coming up with real marketing campaigns these days, and I'm doing it for an audience that might be a little bit larger than my fourth grade class.
