Gathering, developing and leading people comprise my core values. Caring for people, helping others realize and maximize their strengths, building cohesive teams, increasing engagement, succession planning and communication are some of my core strengths. I am comfortable with taking the lead in a team environment and following another’s lead while championing the ideas of the group. I actively seek cooperation and resolution, discouraging behavioral trends and habits that negatively affect the individual and culture. Accomplishments include: Providing oversight and facilitation of safety and regulatory program in multi-hospital healthcare organization with strong focus on human organizational performance (HOP) principles. Duties include regular frontline safety audits, physical environment risk assessments, risk mitigation, and employee accident investigations. We successfully partner with clinical, ancillary and executive leaders to provide data driven recommendations that mitigate risk to the organization and improve organizational systems and controls, creating a safer physical working environment for employees and a safer environment of care for patients and visitors. Promotion of shared accountability between leadership and frontline employees is pursued through facilitation of system safety and disaster committees in line with OSHA requirements and internal charters. Regular interaction and work with external regulatory partners such as OSHA, CMS and The Joint Commission is accomplished via regulatory survey, inspections and resolution of complaint investigations. In early 2021, I executed the restructure of my frontline operation, realizing in annual labor and operational savings without compromising any employee’s FTE status. This change included elimination of positions and directing labor hours to more effective means while fostering a culture that prioritized the well-being of the employee and anticipated the challenges of the 2022 hiring and staffing crisis. 2017-2020 - Realized strategic culture improvement work in St. Charles dietary teams that suffered from low engagement and poor behavioral trends. Restructured workflows to accomplish this goal, measurably improving and sustaining high employee engagement. Continuously train and mentor core group of individuals on my team to ensure immediate and realistic plan of succession. Encourage and cultivate individuation of each employee through creation of psychologically safe environments so they feel free to realize and maximize their full potential.
