After looking for a chance of pace I'm currently at Arrowquip where we strive to revolutionize the cattle management industry. We collaborate with operations of every size in the cattle industry to help bring them innovative products with the aim of keeping the ranching industry alive and thriving for years to come.#eatbeef Previously I was the Engineering Department manager at Batco AGI Swift Current, a short line agricultural equipment manufacturer. The motto of our department is “Innovation Under Pressure” which we live every day as we release new product lines and update existing ones. My focus has been to get the most out of my team and myself while keeping an eye on the goal of doing more, faster, better and with less. I’m a problem solver at heart and my Mechanical Engineering and Management degree helps me solve deeply technical problems, improve manufacturing process but also evaluate and refine office procedures. I’ve seen it firsthand how many little steps towards the goal can make a major impact on performance and I will continue to seek our ways of doing things better. I’m passionate about volunteering in the community and have stepped into the role of offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the local bantam football team (13-14 year old) where I stress that teamwork is more important than individual glory. I’ve also started mentoring Saskatchewan’s first robotics club (grade 9-12) who enter the FIRST robotics competition held in Calgary every year with the hope of encouraging our youth to look into STEM careers.
