About Zack Markakis

My professional journey began early, starting at the age of 14 and 9 months as a junior at Hungry Jack’s. I also pursued my passion for fitness by becoming a Personal Trainer, completing certifications in Cert 3 and Cert 4 in Group Fitness, which laid the foundation for my work ethic and commitment to personal growth. I then began my professional career at 18 with Victoria Police HQ, specializing in logistics. Alongside this, I pursued a background and pre-apprenticeship in building and construction, focusing on carpentry. At 20, I embarked on a formal carpentry apprenticeship, which I completed by 23, all while also studying for my Building and Construction Diploma in night school. The diploma provided me with in-depth knowledge in areas such as SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) and JSA (Job Safety Analysis), OH & S procedures, business planning, Australian Standards, building contracts, building permits, structural plans/drawings and the essential skills needed for business start-up. My career then progressed into high-rise construction in the city, where I gained diverse hands-on experience. Over time, I took on roles such as Site Supervisor, Leading Hand, Dogman, and Rigger, further expanding my skill set in the building industry. As the years went on, I continued to work in high-rise construction at the highest level, continually advancing my expertise. Alongside my construction career, I co-founded a cosmetic clinic with my wife, supporting her in taking her business to the highest level while also building my own business, Zachary Building Solutions. My business covers a variety of services including carpentry, formwork, concreting, building maintenance, and much more. Additionally, I earned Security Level 2 and 3 Armed Guard certifications and provided main event management services, leveraging my extensive experience working alongside Victoria Police for several years. As I continue to grow and evolve, I am expanding my knowledge by completing online marketing courses and working on self development. I also co-founded A and Z Investment Corporation with my business partner, focusing on investing in new businesses and property developments. What drives me are my family, my wife, and my beautiful daughter, as well as the pursuit of success and personal growth.
