I learn everyday while serving Pakistan's largest Welfare Focused Business Entity, The Fauji Foundation, a Conglomerate (Over 78+ Health Units/Clinics/Hospitals, 130+ Education Setups Universties/Colleges/Institutes/Training Centres/Schools, 100+ Oil, Gas or Mineral sites/projects/offices, 600 plus Askari Bank Branches/ATMs, Oil & Food Terminals separate at Port, Chemical & Fertlizer Plants, Cement Plants, Fauji Foods, Fauji Meat, Fauji Cereals, FSS, Insurance setups, Power Plants, Solar Company, FONGROW, FONGAS, Fauji Minerals etcetera with over two lakh fifty thousand work force including reguar/contracted/direct or indirect. As HSE Lead in the Head Office we are continuously interacting, connecting with our entities through every mean and measure to realign existing HSE Practices into group HSE policy and risk assessments at strategic level. We have gone through thousands of inputs, sifted through dozens of documents and visited several sites, locations and entities in one year to conclude on alignments. A Group HSE Policy that cators for more than 38 strategic aspects of HSE Management. I can see entities which never had HSE staff gearing up and hiring HSE teams. Those which were already at advance stage, revisiting their controls, plans, assessments and procedures as a result of Group HSE Feel. Hats off to the leadership and team at Head Office and all the HSE Team Leaders of FF Group who are continuously working day and night to build a role model HSE Culture. I worked for a decade in Military in various administrative, management and training roles. I wanted to explore Pakistan through the lense of international relations so also continued persuing my education till i became a PhD (PCD No by HEC 32099 th PHD since Creation of Pakistan) A twist of event in Fall 2007 brought me into Industry as HSSE Team Leader. I went down to field and ground again to every man called HSE Specialist to learn and grow. Took more than 100s of training from local, regional and national trainers during first decade. Reaching out to NUST, NED, Hassen Habib, NPO, NEBOSH, SGS, TUV, Moody, PN, PAF, Civil Defense, NILAT, IRCA, AOTS, IOSH, Seminars. Was able to participate as HSE Expert in National and International Seminars. Continue to be active part of American Society of Safety Professionals since 2015. Became Head of HSE for US 340M$ DRI Plant during construction, commissioning & in Process where i worked with engineering experts from more than 15 Countries. In Nut Shell just entering into 50th Year of my Life I loved to work and worked to love.
