As a radiation therapy student, I provide exceptional care to cancer patients by applying my extensive pharmacy and radiation therapy clinical experience. I have worked as a certified pharmacy technician at Sam's Club for over a year, where I assisted with dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, and managing inventory. I also gained valuable clinical skills as a medical assistant at the Mercy Cancer Center, performing vital signs, chart checks, and reviewing patient health information. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and expect to graduate in May 2024. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2021. As part of my radiation therapy program, I learned from various radiation therapists at reputable institutions, such as OU Stephenson Cancer Center, Integris Cancer Institute, Mercy Cancer Center, and the Oklahoma Proton Center. I have acquired proficiency in operating various radiation equipment, assisting with simulation set-up, and positioning and preparing patients for treatment. I am detail-oriented, productive, efficient, empathetic, and compassionate. I possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, which enable me to learn quickly and provide an efficient workflow. I have an unwavering passion for providing top-notch care to cancer patients from marginalized communities, and I prioritize their needs and concerns to create a safe and comfortable environment during their treatment journey. My ultimate goal is to bring my exceptional skills to a professional setting where I can contribute to this field by positively impacting my patients' lives and health. I look forward to connecting with other healthcare professionals.
