About Zakia Booth

I am a current Senior at the University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Finance with a minor in real estate. After graduation I plan to pursue a masters degree in Finance. While studying for my graduate degree I will be continuing my path as a real estate agent in industrial/commercial real estate as I will obtain my real estate licensure fall of 2025. Throughout my collegiate role I have been a member of the OSGA (Oklahoma State Government Association) where I passed legislation at the collegiate level to suggest changes in Oklahoma universities/institutions to the Oklahoma state regents. I held a senator role in the University of Central Oklahoma's Student Association (UCOSA) where I was the chair of the Mental Health advisory committee and awarded “Best Incoming Senator" in my first semester. After my role as senator I founded a mental health organization called Restoring Minds where I actively paired with mental health professionals to provide students with a safe space to express their difficulties as well as paired with Trio student support services two years in a row to host First Generation Day, a panel that is broadcasted in trio offices around the united states. I have also been a secretary for the American Association of University Women (AAUW), mentor in Black Women's Initiative where I received the greatest mentor award as well as the Black girl Magic essay scholarship, and am currently an officer in the real estate club where I received the Jay and Tricia Evans Real Estate scholarship. I previously worked under a property manager for Sutton Place Apartments in Baltimore, Maryland where I was a property manager assistant for two years. I have interned at Regional Finance where I gained the ability to execute business plans for outbound solicitation to customers to offer products and used debt to income ratio as well as credit underwriting to assist customers in making educated decisions that help them achieve their financial goals. In my role as a Budget Office assistant at the University of Central Oklahoma I oversee actual performance against budget and provide recommendations on budget adjustments/revisions throughout the fiscal year while entering data into excel spreadsheets and reviewing journal entries. I am currently seeking a role into the real estate & finance industry that will give me new resources and an opportunity to grow.
