Getting to the professional point I am at now has in no way been a linear journey. When I first left UCSC and aimed my career into the world of wine, I had no idea I would end up being asked to join a e-bike start-up to lead the business as a Chief Operating Officer 10 years later. But I have nothing except my circuitous journey to thank for shaping me into who I am today. Becoming an Eagle Scout at 13 with over 40 merit badges and enough camping experiences for a mountain man, I had started to build a broad understanding of the world and how things work. Studying history at UCSC taught me the successes and failures of people, groups, and civilizations, playing out time and again in micro or macro scale – even business. I was able to apply my nerdy passions and interest to absorb all things in the wine world and begin my entrepreneurial mindset building a book of business throughout Northern CA. I had never thought of myself as an extrovert but quickly found myself forming lasting professional relationships –a skill now a cornerstone of my professional career. Working in sales, developing channels, optimizing processes, establishing, and cultivating relationships, account management, logistics and high-profile operations, cash flow management, business development, finance, and payments industries – I have obtained a wealth of knowledge and a solid understanding of what it takes to run and grow a business. I am more excited than ever to see where the future takes me.
