About Zane Hamdan

I am a Master's Student at Drexel University pursuing a degree in Computer Science and additional certificates in Applied AI and Machine Learning for Data Science, AI and Machine Learning, and Computational Data Science. I got my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh and found my primary interests in the field to be the computational and plastic properties of neurons. This led to a greater interest in the computational modeling of neural pathways which inevitably allowed me to discover a love for programming and a motivation to learn more about the field of AI and data science. In Pittsburgh, I worked in the Seal Lab initially as an undergraduate research assistant, then later as a technician. During this time, I was responsible for handling and performing high-precision techniques with brain and spinal cord tissue, as well as maintaining the mouse colony and keeping extensive, organized records of the genotypes of the mice in the colony. Currently, I am working for the Seal Lab remotely. My primary duties now are helping design experiments and creating new scripts for analysis for these experiments. I am looking for a full-time Summer and Fall internships in AI/ML research, data science, or software development.
