My journey into design started with a lawnmower and a copy of Photoshop—not exactly the traditional path, but it taught me early that creativity finds a way. That unconventional beginning led to an incredible opportunity in high school: learning design directly from a Hollywood veteran. I seized it, putting in countless hours mastering the fundamentals. At Hillsdale College, my focus expanded beyond graphic design into Fine Art as a whole discipline, developing my eye through photography, drawing, and comprehensive visual studies. What drives my current work: The intersection of traditional fine art principles with modern digital applications. My Fine Art background at Hillsdale gave me something most designers miss—a deep understanding of visual fundamentals that translates across every medium. My specialty: Distilling complex information into visual experiences that are genuinely clear, effective, and engaging. Whether it's intricate layout design, capturing personality in portraiture, or documenting the energy of events and business stories, I'm fascinated by how strong visual foundations enhance every creative discipline. Current exploration: How photography, layout design, and web development inform each other when you understand the underlying visual principles. My fine art training provides a unique lens for approaching digital challenges—seeing beyond just "what works" to understanding why it works. Based in Nashville, I'm constantly intrigued by how traditional artistic education applies to evolving digital landscapes.
