About Ze Sun

I am a 4th year undergraduate studying at UC San Diego, majoring in Computer Science. I am passionate about using new tools such as deep learning and AI to solve complex real-world problems. As a case in point, I made major contributions in a UCSD team that developed an embedded underwater camera system to analyze marine fish populations. The results were presented at international conferences and published in a peer-reviewed journal. I found great satisfaction in this project because I applied my computational skills to help push the boundaries of scientific research. I also gained valuable experience in working effectively in a team and navigating team dynamics. I catch on quickly and work hard to continuously expand my skill set. Just a few of my abilities include: • Data Collection via Automated Scripts • Experimental Design with C/C++ on Matlab IDE • Experience with Machine Learning/Computer Vision APIs and Development on Python • Technical Writing • Project Presentation Skills
