About Zerasbeth Napoles

My name is Zerasbeth Napoles, a Social Studies teacher with 9 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching at Luray II National High School in Toledo City, Philippines as a Social Studies teacher handling secondary students. I already have my Foreign credential Evaluation, the requirement for getting my teaching certificate in your state. Recommended U.S. Equivalency: Bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in history and completion of 30 semester credit hours of graduate study of social studies education at a regionally accredited institution of higher education. I also have my professional teaching license in the Philippines that I acquired when I passed the Philippines National Board Examination for Professional Teachers and a Maryland Professional Eligibility Certificate for Teaching that is active until 2027. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in History at the University of the Visayas last March 31, 2012. I pursued a Master of Arts in Education major in Social Studies. I graduated last December 2020 but I only have my 30 units of TOR that I have submitted for a Foreign Credential Evaluation which I will update soon with my official MAED Diploma. I am a dedicated and passionate Social Studies teacher who creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. An educator who strives to help students learn skills of exploration, critical analysis, and problem-solving which they can use in making better informed and reasoned decisions that will lead them to be productive citizens. I motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback. I provide varied learning opportunities for them to work in groups and collaborate. Establish and maintain a positive climate for learning through appropriate classroom management. I am a team player, I am flexible in making decisions and actions, and I am competent and competitive in terms of making my students achieve the vision and mission of the school. I have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. I work cooperatively with all staff members and communicate effectively with parents. I maximize my skills and resources for the benefit of my team and the school in general.
