A wealth of experience in food safety and food microbiology research including prevalence, survival, transfer (cross-contamination), detection, and control of foodborne bacterial pathogens in various foods, food processing and food service environment. • Intensive industry visits for food safety and sanitation improvement: over 100 global visits to meat/poultry/seafood, fresh cut, bakery, and frozen foods processing for sanitation assessments and equipment cleaning. • Independent problem solving on microbial food safety, cleaning and sanitation in food processing equipment and environment. • Very experienced in chemicals to clean and sanitize equipment and facility. Very familiar with commercial cleaning and sanitation products. • Experimental and hand on experience in commercial cleaning and sanitation technologies for both wet and dry food processing. • Capable of developing HACCP, SSOP, MSS, PIC, PEC, Pest control, PEM (pathogen and environment monitoring) programs. • Very knowledgeable and experience in hygienic and sanitary design of equipment (AMI, GMA, EHEDG, 3-A) and considerations for ease of cleaning and sanitation of equipment. • Well aware of food safety laws (FDA/FSMA, USDA, China, Europe), regulations and compliance. • Considerable experience and skills in teaching and training. • Great leadership ability and excellent team worker across diverse groups. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Wide global network among food safety professionals in government (FDA, USDA/FSIS, Europe, China), industry (food processors, chemical companies, food safety testing companies, and consulting/auditing), academia (universities, government research units), and associations (IAFP, IFT, AMI, GMA). • Very good at statistical analysis of data. • Great skill in reporting and presenting. • Very passionate on sanitation and food safety.
