As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) at Nashville Brain Institute, I provide comprehensive mental health care and counseling to patients with various psychiatric disorders and conditions. I work with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and nurses to deliver personalized and evidence-based treatment plans that address the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental health. I also collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes for my patients. With over four years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at Community Health Development Incorporation, Fast Pace Health and Dickson Medical Associates, I have gained valuable skills and knowledge in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, performing physical examinations, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing health education and preventive care. I have also developed strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills that enable me to work effectively with diverse populations and in various settings. I hold a postgraduate degree in Psychiatry and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University, where I completed extensive clinical rotations in psychiatric and mental health settings and learned from experienced faculty and mentors. I also have a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama and certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). My mission is to improve the quality of life and well-being of my patients by providing compassionate, holistic, and culturally competent mental health care. I am passionate about advancing the field of psychiatry and mental health nursing through continuous learning, research, and advocacy. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical and professional practice and to collaborating with other health care professionals and stakeholders to enhance the delivery and accessibility of mental health services. My passions outside work include ballroom dancing, golfing, travel, family, friends, and conducting Bible studies.
