About Zimeng Wang

Wang Zimeng is a Professor at Fudan University, Executive Director of the Young Faculty Association, and Editor-in-Chief of Applied Geochemistry. He earned his bachelor's degree from Fudan University and his Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by postdoctoral research at Stanford University and an assistant professorship at Louisiana State University. In 2018, he joined the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Fudan University through the National Overseas High-Level Youth Talent Recruitment Program, leading research in soil and water environmental science. He has served as Assistant Department Chair and Deputy Secretary of the University Youth League Committee. His accolades include the American Chemical Society’s James J. Morgan Award, the International Geochemical Society’s Ebelmen Award, Fudan University’s "Top Ten Scientific Advances," Shanghai’s Popular Science Communication Rising Star, and Shanghai’s Outstanding Science Communication Works. He has published over 90 papers in journals such as Nature Geoscience and Science Advances and has led more than 10 research projects, including key initiatives under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He also holds roles as an Executive Committee Member of the International Geochemical Society, Council Member of the Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology, and Geochemistry, Academic Committee Member of UNESCO’s International Center on Global-Scale Geochemistry, and Standing Committee Member of the Emerging Contaminants Governance Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences.
