About Zippy Chan

Since formally obtaining my legal qualifications in 2007 and being admitted as a lawyer, I have practiced exclusively in Family Law with a number of Family Law specialists in Sydney, Australia. In 2013, I became accredited with the Law Society of NSW as an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. As a result of my time in the Family Law field, I have handled, and in many instances resolved, a wide range of family law matters. I have provided assistance to many married and de facto couples, opting to resolve matters by negotiation in the first instance, litigation being the last resort. I have been included in the Doyle's Guide as a "Recommended" lawyer in the categories- Leading Parenting & Children’s Matters Lawyers – New South Wales, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 - Leading Family & Divorce Lawyers – Sydney, 2023 I was born in Hong Kong and have lived in Australia from a young age. I have retained my native language skills and am able to communicate effectively with clients in Chinese, both Cantonese and Mandarin. I am also able to read in Chinese and can provide advice to clients in Chinese. I am one of a handful of Accredited Specialists in Family Law in Sydney who are able to communicate and advise in Chinese.
