I am a successful medical leader, combining expert clinical/non-clinical medical expertise with robust business management skills. For the past 11 years, I have been employed within the health division of the military, specializing in occupational health. I have been fortunate to simultaneously gain private sector experience, including appointments with Chevron Oil. Key to my success is my business acumen and focus on supporting strategic aims. With a strong commitment to continuous professional development, I have completed an MBA specializing in leading organizational change/entrepreneurship. I have various research to my name, and I also hold a number of professional memberships and licenses. I possess broad experience in senior-level medical practice and management (clinical and non-clinical), with strong, up to date knowledge of issues and trends in the medical profession, and the legal and political environment. Developing, implementing and evaluating policies and programs is a major personal strength. I am fully committed to clinical governance, including safety and quality. My analytical skills are excellent, and I apply critical thinking and sound judgement to deliver tangible results. Identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement comes naturally to me.
