About Ziyi Liu

I am a multilingual and detail-oriented professional with a background in education administration, community programming, and nonprofit coordination. With a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelor’s in Biology (Biophysics minor) from the University of Ottawa, I bring both analytical rigor and a deep commitment to accessible, inclusive service. My current roles reflect my passion for supporting individuals through systems and transitions. As a Bilingual Community Navigator at the YMCA, I assist community members—especially newcomers—in accessing essential services such as housing, healthcare, education, and employment. I provide this support in English, French, and Mandarin, fostering inclusion and cultural understanding. As an Early Learning Assistant with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, I contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment by assisting educators with program delivery, materials preparation, and child development support, while maintaining effective communication with families. In the nonprofit sector, I serve as the Site Lead for the CIBC Run for the Cure in Ottawa, where I oversee event logistics, and collaborate with the national team to ensure a successful, community-driven fundraising campaign. These experiences, combined with my past academic coordination and tutoring roles, have equipped me with strong skills in program implementation, administrative support, stakeholder communication, and multilingual service delivery. I am seeking opportunities in education administration, nonprofit program coordination, or community engagement, where I can continue to contribute to purpose-driven teams and support inclusive, learner- and community-centered initiatives.
