About Zoe Bartels

I am a Technology Manager for Fuel Cell Systems & Floating Offshore Wind at Siemens Energy, with a strong international background in renewable energy engineering and industrial engineering and management. I recently completed the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Renewable Energy in the Marine Environment (REM+), studying at UCC (Ireland), UPV/EHU (Spain), and NTNU (Norway). My master’s thesis, in collaboration with NTNU and Siemens Energy, focused on assessing the techno-economic viability of integrating floating offshore wind energy. Through my studies and work, I have gained experience in power systems, fuel cell technology, and offshore wind solutions. In my current role, I help define technology strategies, oversee product development, and coordinate with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams.
