About Zoe Hobson

Zoe has a strong background in the media industry. She has worked in game production (PC and mobile), film production, digital media, print media and television over the last twenty years. She returned to Dunedin from Auckland, drawn by the start-up and tech scene here. Zoe joined the team at Runaway Play in 2015 as a Senior Producer. Overseeing finances and production across the business, Zoe had a particular focus on leading the Publishing and Live Operations teams, and developing Runaway's knowledge of marketing and paid User Acquisition. Zoe then moved to the role of CEO, where she oversees Runaway's company vision and business strategies. Zoe has been awarded the 'Future Business Leader' Obiz Award, the "Industry Pillar" award at the New Zealand Game Awards and was recognised as “a leading advocate for gender and other diversity in the NZ games industry” in the NZ Herald’s “20 most influential people in the video game industry”.
