About Zoe Jackson

As a young adult, I personally understand that communities are where we can ground our roots. I have learned this through my experiences in working at NSIDC as well as my internship in the Pentagon at the Office of the Secretary of Defense - Public Affairs. From these experiences, I have learned that to build powerful relationships, it is necessary to create authentic connections with others. I have also learned how to effectively connect individuals to each other. Through these relationships, I have seen lives transformed through new trajectories. My experiences have also given me the opportunity to develop my communications abilities, particularly in public speaking as well as social media and outreach efforts. I frame my talks, social media posts as well as outreach projects to connect with the group as a whole and its individual members. No matter the age or stage of my audience, I have something to offer. I enjoy communicating my ideas in both spoken and written form and am interested in developing those skills in others.
