About Zoe Skinner

I’m a junior at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a 3.9 GPA pursuing a B.S. in Marketing, with a concentration in Strategic Branding, and a minor in Communications. I was born in Santa Ana, California, where I completed my International Baccalaureate diploma before moving to New York. I am a current Corp Comms intern at JONESWORKS, supporting a team of Public Relations and Communications professionals at an award-winning, full-service communications, marketing and management agency representing an elite roster of talent, lifestyle and consumer brands. At Fordham, as a Marketing Scholars Candidate, I am one of 40 students in a program aimed at providing unique, high-profile opportunities to advance marketing careers through visits to leading advertising agencies and exposure to other industry-leading professionals. I am on the Campus Activities Executive Board, as a Special Events Co-Chair to provide Rose Hill’s campus of 2500+ students with cultural and social events. I’m also active in the Fordham Marketing Association.My past internship has allowed me to apply my classroom business skills in the real world. As a Marketing Intern for Westar Associates I supported the strategic initiatives of a commercial real estate firm with 12 properties valued at $2.6B in Southern California. I also gained valuable skills using CoStar and Placer.AI to interpret data to create an in-depth competitive benchmarking analysis of shopping malls used by management to plan for new marketing strategies. I also monitored their social media strategy across Instagram and Facebook, identifying consumer interaction trends. I used Adobe Suite to improve the operational process for tenant inquiries and MailChimp to generate and send promotional materials.Giving back to my community is an important part of who I am. In high school, I was the Student of the Year Nominee for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, raising more than to support cancer research. I also worked at the Assistance League Santa Ana Chapter for 3+ years raising money to supply children in my community with needed supplies.As part of Gabelli's Consulting Cup, I worked with a team of my peers to develop a comprehensive solution to Chipotle's increase of emissions that encompassed the seventh and thirteenth goals of the UNSG to place an emphasis on innovation and climate action.
