About Zoe Timbrell

Curious. Strategic. Values-led. I work across systems and sectors to make real and radical change — from transforming digital technology education to helping close the digital divide and reimagining the future of learning. I take a community-first approach, working alongside Māori, Indigenous, underserved and marginalised communities, in service of futures shaped on their terms. For over 10 years, I’ve led national initiatives, built movements, and held space for work that matters, with people who matter. I've had the privilege of working alongside educators, ākonga, iwi, NFPs, communities, government, and businesses across Aotearoa and beyond — each shaping and challenging the work in meaningful ways. Now I’m making space for my next chapter — at a pace that looks after hauora, as well as an unrelenting focus on the mahi. I’ve come back with focus and clarity on what matters, and what I can do to support intentional shifts that create deep and intergenerational change for the betterment of all our futures. The work will shift. The why hasn’t. The work we did is still critical — and if you’d like to explore it, many of the education tools, resources, and initiatives I’ve helped shape over the past decade are archived and available at pamfergusson.org.nz.
