Studying MSc in Quantitative Environmental Sciences with the University of Zurich. Thesis project exploring social network analyses in wild meerkats.Recent previous work- Freelance data extraction and analysis for the University of Cambridge. Assisting post-doctoral researchers with the extraction of long-term data from the Kalahari Meerkat Project database using SQL and R- Kalahari Meerkat Project Assistant, working remotely with the University of Zurich to assist with website development, and annotation of previously recorded bioacoustic data from the field- National Trust Service Assistant at Newtown National Nature Reserve, IOW, providing an excellent visitor experience at the reserve through welcoming and informing visitors on the trail routes, flora, fauna, and history of the reserve. Working closely with the rangers, harbour master, and volunteers to monitor the reserve and it's wildlife. Former Meerkat Project Manager at the Kalahari Research Centre, lead by the Universities of Cambridge and Zurich. Managing the University of Zurich aspects of research carried out at the Kalahari Research Centre through assisting students and researchers. Lead the data collection and storage of bioacoustics data. Managed the main Meerkat Project and team of volunteer research assistants working on behavioural and life history data collection of habituated and wild groups of Suricata suricatta in the Northern Cape, South Africa. Liasing closely with all other research projects on site (including Cape Ground Squirrel, Damaraland Molerats, and Hot-Birds projects), as well as independent researchers from University of Cambridge, University of Zurich, film makers, and more. My eventual career goal is to work directly within animal behaviour or conservation through research and project work to make as many positive differences to the understanding of species, communities and ecosystems within the ever-changing world.My dissertation study completed in the third year of my degree was completed professionally with supervision from Dr Roger Santer. Titled, “The Conspicuousness of Signalling Pelage to the Polymorphic Visual Systems of New-World Primates.” I achieved a First Class mark for this work, and graduated with a First Class (Hons) BSc Zoology degree from Aberystwyth University.Other work includes being a Ticket Office Sales Assistant at Port Vale Football Club for 5 years where I am confident in customer service and sales skills. I have a further expanse of retail and animal husbandry experience alongside this.
