About Zoe Wertlieb

Zoe Wertlieb is a rising senior at Bryn Mawr College exploring her passions for positively impacting individuals and communities by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in religious studies. Zoe is interested in studying how spirituality influences people's perception and treatment of the world around them. Zoe’s dedication to understanding and empathizing with others enables her to be an effective leader that facilitates seamless communication between group members and external entities. As Head Captain of the HaverRitmo dance team, Zoe plans weekly six-hour rehearsals and monthly showcases, creates and teaches choreography, organizes team-building events, recruits new members, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the HaverRitmo Executive Board. In this role, Zoe has achieved 100 percent performance participation in a team comprised of 20 dancers by highlighting each dancer’s unique abilities and organizing unique team-building exercises to propel the group forward to their shared end goal. Zoe is excited to continue using and building her leadership and communication skills by pursuing a career in Jewish education. She hopes to work with young children or high school students to educate them on the importance of upholding certain Jewish values, like tikkun olam (repairing the world) and loving your neighbor as yourself, especially when people have different religious beliefs. Zoe is excited to continue promoting joy and strength in young Jewish communities, as well as spreading awareness of religious intolerance and combating it through educational means.
